Beta version. Last updated October 30, 2026.
Tasseldesk is run by Deskworks, LLC, a Texas company that does business as Tasseldesk. This explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what we need to find scholarships for your family, and we never sell it.
About you: your name and email address, and any extra email addresses you add for reminders.
About each child: a nickname (it does not need to be their real name), expected graduation year, county, city or school district, school type, the kinds of awards you want to see, and the interests, activities, and subjects you pick.
What you save in the app: which opportunities you are working on, notes, awards won, reasons you passed on something, and reports of wrong information.
Head Start Guide sign-ups: your email, first name, county, and the link you came from.
Payments: if you choose a paid plan, Stripe handles your card. We never see or store your full card number.
Technical details: our hosting providers keep basic logs, such as sign-in times and browser type, to keep the service running and secure. Your app settings, like how you sort lists, are saved on your own device.
We never ask for your child's race, ethnicity, religion, or similar details, or for Social Security numbers. Some awards are only for certain groups; we list those separately so you can look at them without telling us anything about your child.
To match your children with opportunities, show your dashboard, send the reminders you ask for, run your account and any billing, answer your questions, and improve Tasseldesk. We read cancel reasons and error reports to fix problems.
Account emails, like your invitation and password resets. Deadline reminders, which you can turn off any time on the Alerts page. Occasional beta updates about Tasseldesk.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
We use a few companies to run Tasseldesk, and they handle your information only to provide their service to us: Supabase (database and sign-in), WeWeb (the app), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payments), Fillout and Make (Head Start Guide sign-ups), and Google (Gmail).
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or if Tasseldesk moves to a new company we own, in which case this policy still applies.
Tasseldesk accounts are for parents and guardians 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account on the Account page, your login, children's profiles, matches, and notes are removed from our live systems right away. Copies may stay in backups or service logs for a short time. Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires.
You can email us any time to ask for a copy of your information or to correct it.
Connections to Tasseldesk are encrypted, and our database rules let each family see only its own information. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password that you do not use anywhere else.
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and email you before the changes take effect.
